Fugitive dust assessments

Emissions of fugitive dusts can arise from a wide variety of operations including construction works, waste handling, quarrying and mineral extraction. The form of assessment may be semi-quantitative (based on locations and distances of sensitive receptors) where accurate emissions cannot be quantified, or may be based on detailed dispersion modelling. Dust monitoring can be undertaken using simple methods, such as glass-slides or continuous monitors. Studies have been undertaken for:

  • Construction/demolition activities
  • Waste handling facilities
  • Mineral extraction processes (sand and gravel, limestone, coal, iron ore etc)

We work on a wide range of projects for clients in the UK and abroad.
