Julie is a carbon accountant, climate policy expert and economist, with over 15 years of experience across the public and private sectors.
Her carbon accountancy experience is centred around Life Cycle Assessment and Carbon Footprinting, helping companies and organisations understand the environmental impact of their products, services and operations across the value chain, with a focus on manufacturing, commodities, the built environment and renewables.
Julie’s climate policy background focuses on legislated carbon markets, including Emissions Trading Schemes (ETS) and Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanisms (CBAMs). She also has a background in city level climate action planning.
Julie has extensive experience in translating complex economic- and climate- policy knowledge for the general public, and upskilling and educating in carbon measurement.
Julie holds a Masters of Business in Economics, and a Masters in Engineering Management. She has worked for the Reserve Bank of New Zealand and in the New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme, as well as in local and central government, in climate-tech, and as a sustainability consultant and advisor to industry bodies, and private and public organisations.
